WEST CHILTINGTON - MAPS

The village of West Chiltington is situated about 50 miles directly south of London, close to Gatwick Airport. That places it about 10 miles north of Worthing (just on the northern side of the South Downs). The nearest large town is Horsham and it is close to the junction of the A29 and A283, south-east of Billingshurst.

The nearest train station is Pulborough which is on the London (Victoria) to Bognor/Chichester line - the train journey into London takes about 1hr 15mins (on a good day!). On maps, such as the one below, it is highlighted. Look to the right, east of Pulborough in the centre of the map to the existence of not one, but two local windmills (although both were converted to residential/office use many years ago).

Rather than include a full street plan, the following diagram summarises the broad layout of the village. (A detailed street map may be purchased in any of the local stores which highlights both individual properties and public footpaths, etc.)
