"Dear Neighbours, Customers and Friends,
After a year like no other, I wanted to bring you up to date with what's been happening at our beautiful village pub just in case you haven't popped by lately.
We have spent a lot of time and effort ensuring our covid-secure arrangements mean you can confidently visit us for a drink, a snack or a delicious home-cooked meal. Our restaurant tables are spaced a generous 3m apart, as well as an unobtrusive one way system and sanitising stations. In fact, our brewery manager told us our set up is one of the best he has seen. We can accept reservations (01798812244) for tables of up to six people, and are currently open from noon to ten pm Wednesday to Sunday, and 6pm to 10pm on Tuesday, closed all day Monday.
As well as our delicious menu with daily specials and vegan options, we also serve one of the best Sunday roasts around. Call or watch out on social media for the Sundays when we offer 'kids eat for £1'. We also currently offer amazing (grown up) deals on Thursdays and Saturdays to rival the Eat Out To Help Out scheme with some main courses for under a fiver. We are now also accepting bookings for our Christmas celebration menu which will be available throughout December up until Christmas day. Whilst we can only accept individual table bookings of no more than six, we have now completed work on our bistro/gin bar so it can be 'closed for private function' and accommodate several socially distanced tables, thus seating up to approx 24 people in total. Each table must represent an individual booking for seated parties of no more than six and social distancing must be maintained between diners at each table. This complies with covid-secure measures, as confirmed by Horsham District Council.
We have bolstered the kids play garden with lots more toys/equipment, and added decking and pergolas to the patio dining areas, making them beautiful spaces even on chilly autumn days. Next month we are launching "Cleeves" restaurant which brings the finest food, service and wines to your table. We'll tell you more about that soon, but in the meantime we would just like to extend a very warm welcome to one and all, and invite you to support your local village inn so we can continue to support the local community with good food, ales and wines - and a friendly smile even if it comes from behind a mask! As they say, use it or lose it!
Hope to see you soon,
Steph Young and all at The Queen's Head West Chiltington"
There is a large car park behind the pub.
