Village Hall News

The Village Hall Committee are delighted to announce that full funding has been achieved for the roof repairs. You can read more here.

Hallmark Stage II achieved

Well done to the committee on the award of Stage II of the 'Hallmark' scheme for Village Halls. This is a staged quality assessment and this stage reflects Health and Safety issues and Licenses.

Since we have all forgotten about January now the sun is out, I have moved the 'snow summit' to the snow page

Improve your village

The parish Council inivites you to sponsor a tree in the village. They aim to plant around 10 trees in public places this Autumn.

Is there a footpath you walk on a regular basis? Would you be interested in adopting a section and just reporting any problems associated with that section.

Midhurst Treasure Hunt

For those who fancy a stroll around the lovely town of Midhurst, our friends on the village forum there have sent details of a treasure hunt which will get you out and about the town - and maybe win you a drinkable prize! Library opening hours

Just in case anyone has missed it, the County's libraries will have new opening hours from 10th May. Storrington will be open from 9:30 to 17:30 Mondays to Fridays and 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays.

Mary How Film Night

NB There are will be no film showings in July and August - we hope very much to welcome you back in September to the next presentation from the Mary How Trust Film Society which will be on Tuesday 28th September in West Chiltington Village Hall and will be 'Wild Target'. Bill Nighy stars in this comedy about an uptight assassin who still lives to please his mother. An enjoyably silly romp, with Emily Blunt, Martin Freeman, Rupert Grint and Rupert Everett.

JOIN US at the longest-running cinema club for charity in West Sussex and, we believe, the only one with all proceeds going to charity.

A usual there will be two showings, at 3pm and 7.30pm

We offer a first class cinema experience, with professional 35mm prints and Dolby sound, and a licensed bar. Tickets sell out quickly each month, so hurry to book yours!

Raffle and refreshments


The Trust hold a bingo evening in aid of Cancer Prevention on the first Monday of every month in the Ravenscroft Guide & Community Centre, Browns Lane, Storrington RH20 4LG. Only 50p entry with a raffle and refreshments - and fun for everyone! Doors open 7PM: Play starts at 7:30PM.


Kirdford, Ifold and Plaistow Handbell Ringers Association will give a concert in aid of the Mary How Trust for Cancer Prevention at West Chiltington Village Hall On Thursday 23rd September at 7.30 pm

Tickets are Adults £5.00, Children £2.50

There will be a raffle and light refreshments.
